Scuba Tank

A scuba tank is absolutely vital to underwater exploration. In fact, without a tank, it would be nearly impossible to spend any significant amount of time under the water. The best oxygen tanks are normally made from either aluminum or stainless steel.

A stainless steel scuba tank is the ideal way to carry large amounts of oxygen at low pressure. High pressure steel tanks are also available, but are less commonly used. Because a steel tank can be quite heavy, they usually do not require the additional use of counter-balance weights when under water.

For most scuba-oriented resorts around the world, the aluminum scuba tank is the most commonly used. Because they are much lighter than a steel tank, they are easier to carry. This lightweight design, however, does require that the diver use counter weights while diving.
